Introduction:
Insects builders
Insects
are fascinating animals for different reasons: thez are numerous
on Earth and present an important number of forms and behaviours.
Humans are surprised and interested particularly by insects
which live in complex societies as bees, wasps, ants and termites.
Thancks
to an exhibition (see boards) and
different documents as articles, videos and photos, I wanted
to show you an example of this extraordinary insects world:
nests built by social insects. You will see the important number
of shapes, structures and materials used to build these nests.
Moreover, you will discover what we can use from these nests.
In
"documents" part, you can see articles (in French,
sorry) but also photos and videos (for exmple visits of some
nests thanks to virtual endoscopy).
